Is Haitian Creole a dialect?No. Haitian Creole is a language of its own. It has its own Grammar rules. It does come from French, and other languages, but it is certainly NOT a dialect, nor is it broken French.

If I speak French, will I be able to understand Haitian Creole?It will be easier, because you will understand the origin of most words. However, French speakers generally do not understand Haitian Creole when they read it. You might need to sound out the words to see what they really mean. Spoken Creole is not that easy to understand at first either.

How long will it take me to become fluent in Haitian Creoleyou can be fluent at a Beginner's level, A1, in about 3 months, taking 2 or 3 classes a week. Haitian Creole has faster learning curve than other languages, since it does not have as much Grammar.

What if I have never studied Haitian Creole before?Don't worry, you can start from zero. Ne previous knowledge required. You will learn from the basics, to more complex topics.

How long do the levels last?That depends on your learning pace, and also of the Plan you choose. Generally, a student that studies 3 times a week, will complete the first level in 3 months or less.

Do I need a computer to do the course?It will be better for you, since the site is designed to be displayed best in a computer screen. You can use a table, or your phone as well. The app is designed for the phone.

How are the classes?1) Set up The class is via Zoom, so you will need to have a free account. You will be provided with a link for the classes, it's always the same link. You will have the option to record the class in your device. If it is a group class, and you cannot attend, you will be provided with the recording. You will need to have a camera, speakers, and a microphone. 2) What's a typical class like? Generally we will watch a video, or listen to an audio, and learn the Grammar behind the topic. We will discuss the Grammar, provide examples, and answer questions Then we will do some exercises Finally, we will practice some conversation using what we have learned

Are the payments monthly?Yes, unless you choose a single course. In that case, you will only have to pay for that course, which does not include the classes.

How are the dates and times for the classes arranged?Before starting, you will be able to choose the days and times for your classes. If it is a group class, you can see the availability before choosing a plan, just get in touch with us.
